Space Settlement

Overview

This was a competition where 200 students from around the United States to Johnson Space Center in Houston, where they are divided into 4 teams to complete the design challenge. We are given a Request for Proposal which outlines the details of the settlement that need to be addressed and the constraints and utilities available to the team. I had the privilege of being the president of my team and lead them to create Cassandras which was our solution to the challenge.

Design

Our team was divided into 2 sections: business and engineering teams. The engineering teams we broken down further into 4 discipline teams: Structural, Operations, Humans, and Automations. Each team had a specific  design challenge to address and all aspects of the design needed to be cohesive. The presentation was received well with the panel of aerospace engineers and we completed the challenges listed in the RFP. Our final presentation is linked below.
